AME System Named Finalist in the Australian Manufacturing Awards 2026
We’re proud to announce that AME System has been named a finalist in the Australian Manufacturing Awards 2026 for the Digital Transformation Award.
For us, this recognition represents much more than adopting new technology. It reflects an ongoing transformation in how we connect engineering, manufacturing, digital commerce and customer experience across our business.
Our Digital Transformation Journey
AME System has been designing and manufacturing modular aluminium profile systems and ergonomic workplace solutions in Australia for more than 30 years.
As our products, customers and manufacturing capabilities have evolved, so has the way we work.
Our digital transformation has focused on a simple objective: make it easier for customers to move from an idea to an engineered, manufacturable solution.
That has meant investing not in one individual platform or piece of software, but in a growing digital ecosystem connecting our customers with engineering information, product configuration, manufacturing capabilities and online ordering.
Engineering Tools in the Hands of Our Customers
One of the most important parts of this journey has been making engineering information and tools more accessible online.
The AME System Deflection Calculator allows customers to compare aluminium profiles against their application requirements, considering variables such as span, load, load type and mounting condition.
Our online Profile Configurator takes this a step further, allowing customers to select profile lengths and specify machining requirements such as cutting, drilling and tapping as part of the ordering process.
Alongside these tools, we continue to expand access to technical datasheets, CAD and STEP files, 3D models, assembly animations and technical resources.
The goal is to help customers make more informed decisions earlier in the design process while creating a smoother path from design → configuration → ordering → manufacturing.
Connecting Digital and Physical Manufacturing
Digital transformation at AME System doesn't stop at the website.
Behind the customer-facing tools is continued investment in manufacturing technology, automation, engineering software and integrated business systems.
By connecting more stages of the process, information can move more efficiently between customer requirements, engineering, quoting, ordering and production.
This helps us reduce unnecessary manual processes, improve consistency and create a more scalable manufacturing environment — while continuing to manufacture and support our systems locally in Melbourne.
Building Digital Capability Within AME System
Technology alone doesn't create digital transformation.
An equally important part of our journey has been developing the skills and capability within our own team.
AME System continues to invest in digital engineering, web development, multimedia, automation and digital customer experience alongside our established engineering and manufacturing expertise.
Bringing these disciplines together allows us to continually identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve access to technical information and develop new tools around the needs of our customers.
More Than a Digital Project
What makes this journey important to us is that there isn't a finish line.
Our Deflection Calculator, Profile Configurator, digital technical resources, eCommerce platform and internal systems are not isolated projects. They are parts of an evolving digital infrastructure that we continue to develop as our business and customers' needs change.
The result is an increasingly connected journey from discovery and engineering through to ordering, manufacturing and delivery.
Being selected as a finalist for the 2026 Digital Transformation Award is therefore an exciting acknowledgement of both what our team has achieved and the direction in which AME System continues to develop.
Looking Ahead to the Australian Manufacturing Awards
The Australian Manufacturing Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on:
Date: 8 October 2026
Time: From 6:30pm
Venue: Crown Melbourne
We’re looking forward to being part of the evening and celebrating alongside our fellow finalists and other businesses contributing to the future of Australian manufacturing.
Whatever the outcome on the night, being recognised as a finalist in the Digital Transformation Award is already an important milestone for our team.
Most importantly, it reinforces something we strongly believe at AME System: the future of manufacturing isn't simply about making products — it's about connecting people, engineering, technology and manufacturing in smarter ways.
And our digital transformation journey is only continuing.
